What a great shoot, and what a laugh. I’m pretty sure everyone really enjoyed this mornings shooting, quite different to the norm!! There has been talk of a Jelly Bow Clout Shoot, that should be a good laugh if nothing else. Thanks to Carole and David again for organising this Club Shoot.

Bridlington managed to send a good representation to the Barnsley Shoot, with some members performing well and others not so well, mentioning no names!! Should have taken my longbow, would probably scored as well as with my recurve!!. I believe the amount raised was in the region of £800, for 2 great charities. Mikey shot very well, and so did Rob Lilley, can’t remember their scores, but Mikey won Junior Gent recurve and Rob came fourth in Gents Compound. The weather wasn’t too good, it remained dry, but was quite cold and breezy. Barnsley have said they’d like to repeat the event next year, so hopefully more members will enter next time. Sunday 16 November saw the Chairman's Junior Competition being held at the Sports Field. Taking the trophy this year was Michael Smith, with Alex Styles in second place and Blain Nicholson in third place. Well done guys!! The Senior members also shot a Frostbite this morning, well done everyone.
Today, 9 November, we have just completed our Autumn Beginner's course. At the start of the course we had 12 people and 9 of those have completed the 6 week course. Well done to those who managed to brave the weather!! Look forward to seeing you all next week as fully fledged members.
The Indoor Tournament appears to have been a success, my thanks to all those who participated, I hope you all enjoyed the day. I was enjoying it up till around 3pm, then my body was saying "It's time for a nanny nap"!!!! Congratulations to those that won trophies and/or medals. My thanks also to those Club members who helped in whatever way. Here's hoping for an even better day next year.
